The Flood (Part 1)

Genesis Chapter 6:1 – 8

The beginning of chapter 6 takes “Men are Mars, Women are from Venus” by John Gray just a little bit too far.  In Genesis it is:

Ge 6:2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

What the heck is this “sons of God” and “daughters on men”?  Did we already forget the 1st chapter of Genesis:

Ge 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

There seems to be great argument for what Genesis 6:2 means.  But in the end it boils down to YHWH created both “sons of God”, “daughters of men” and also the Nephilim in verse 4.  All 3 types on humans came from Adam and Eve.  Their sinful nature came from YHWH, he can blame it on Satan, or willful nature, or sin…but YHWH created it, or allowed it, or maybe just puts up with it because he’s a wimp.  Sounds to me like Adam was a complete fuck up, and the mold of being made in YHWH image should have been broken.

So any way, YHWH can only take his creation for about 1656 years.   This all powerful, all loving, all knowing creator basically gives up.  And in less than 2000 years he has become grieved.  But it’s not just humans that YHWH wants to destroy.  No, instead of just creating a virus that attacks humans, like the Black Death, or Ebola, or HIV , oh no our YHWH plans to destroy all of his creation.  Every living creature on the face of the planet is going to be wiped out.  We don’t know what happened to the fish of the fresh and salt waters.  Did the water become too brackish for these animals to survive?  Our YHWH is preparing to wipe out all live on the planet, because of one bad mold…Adam.  It seems like Adam 2.0 would be a good idea, but no YHWH likes Noah.
